Base (n)The base is the lowest part, or the original part, of something.
The line BC is the base of the triangle ABC.
The base of the column is much thicker than the top.
Orientation is the base for students' later studies on the jebel.

The noun basis is similar in meaning to the noun base. The basis of something is its central and most important part, from which it has been developed or can be developed. [The plural of basis is bases]
There is no scientific basis for what they are saying.
He used that series of lectures as the basis for his new book.
On what basis did you make that decision?

To base is the verb. If you base one thing on another, you build it up from that thing.

I basically agree with what you have said but there are one or two very small points which I cannot accept.

Campus (n) A campus is the buildings of a university or college and the areas around them such as car parks, sports fields and gardens.
Our university campus lies between the airport and ARAMCO.
Most students and teachers at KFUPM live on campus.

Column (n)A column is a part of a table of information which is read from top to bottom. The word column can also be used to describe things which have a tall narrow shape.
Columns of numbers in tables are read vertically.
We saw black columns of smoke rising from the distant horizon.
We watched the column of mercury in the thermometer rise and then fall.
Thick concrete columns support the roof of that new stadium.

Complex (adj)Something that is complex has many different parts that are all related to each other in some way. Another word for complex is complicated.
KFUPM is a very large and complex organization.
Writing a computer program is a very complex process.
The uranium atom, with its 92 electrons, is a very complex one.

The noun is complexity.
We were not happy about the complexity of the new arrangements.
It was a problem of such great complexity that it took us a long time to solve it.

Complete (v)Tocomplete means to finish, to bring to an end.
Every student has to know which courses he should attend in order to be able to complete his studies.
KFUPM students need to complete the Orientation Year before they begin their freshman studies.
When will work on the new airport be completed?

The adjective, complete, can mean either finished or total.
The work isn't yet complete; it will take us anotherfew weeks to finish it all.
He is a complete stranger to me; I have never seen him before in my life.

The adverb is completely and the noun is completion.
